The fusion rocket used the hydrogen as a propellant, the propellant would be able to replenist itself to travel through space. Most likely the spacecraft happens to used more of the hydrogen. Hydrogen has been presented to be in the atmosphere of many plaanets before. With the hydrogen the spacecraft can do dips down into the atmosphere and then suck hydrogen in to itself to refuel.

                        Well, if you guessed fusion powered rocket provide longer thrust is the fact that the chemical rocket burn their fuel much faster. So, the fusion rocket can actually be able to travel anywhere in our solar system when you think about it.
